DESCRIPTION
The Piece
Crafted in heavyweight bone cotton with a distressed finish, this hoodie carries a blue PHAVOS™ monogram on the chest and a matching logo on the sleeve — the kind of muted, worn-in construction that lets the artwork do the talking rather than shouting for it.
The Artwork
The back print reworks Almond Blossoms (1890) by Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, one of his most beloved late works — branches of white almond blossom set against a bold cobalt sky, painted as a gift to celebrate the birth of his newborn nephew. Rooted in the Japanese woodblock prints Van Gogh admired throughout his life, it remains one of the most reproduced and instantly recognizable images in his entire body of work.
The Artist
Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter whose bold color, expressive brushwork, and emotional intensity would go on to shape the course of modern art — despite selling almost nothing during his own lifetime. Almond Blossoms was painted in the final months of his life, at a rare moment of hope and tenderness amid the turmoil that defined his later years.
The Intervention
The PHAVOS™ logo is interwoven directly into the almond blossoms on the back print, merging the brand's mark with Van Gogh's original branches rather than sitting apart from them.
